Commerce Ministry prohibits import of National Flags not adhering to specifications prescribed in Flag Code of India

New Delhi, Oct 14 (KNN) Ministry of Commerce and Industry has prohibited import of National Flags which do not adhere to specifications prescribed in the Flag Code of India.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has said in a notification, “Import of Indian National Flag not adhering to the specifications prescribed under Part-1, Section 1.2 of Flag Code of India, 2002, is Prohibited.”

However, this issues with the approval of Minister of Commerce & Industry, the DGFT said.

The central government has introduced a new paragraph into the General Notes regarding Import Policy. (KNN Bureau)
