Committee submits report for monitoring CSR implementation

New Delhi Dec 12 (KNN) A High level committee instituted by the Government to suggest measure for monitoring the Progress of implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies has submitted its Report to the Government.

The Report said that the Government does not propose uniformity in tax exemption for CSR expenditure to all eligible activities, 

The Companies Law Committee is examining the issues related to amendments required, if any, in the Companies Act, 2013 and rules thereunder, stated in report

The Companies are required to formulate their CSR policies, if applicable, under the provision of Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, Schedule VII of the Act and Companies CSR Policy Rules, 2014 read with General Circular dated 18.06.2014 issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, said in the report

Union finance Minister and Minister of Corporate Affairs Arun Jaitley informed the Lok Sabha  in a written reply to a question. (KNN Bureau)
