Covid scare keeps Intl participants away from Odisha MSME Fair

Bhubaneswar, Mar 5 (KNN) The 9th edition of Odisha Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Trade Fair-2021 which is scheduled to begin from March 5th, 2021 at Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) exhibition ground will have no international participation due to COVID pandemic.

State MSME Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra while interacting with the media persons on Thursday informed the same.

He further said that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the fair which will be organized adhering to all COVID-19 protocol.

The exhibition would endeavour to bring all the potential buyers and sellers to a single platform in order to expand opportunities for mutually beneficial trade in products and technologies of the MSME sector.

There would be a live demonstration, product launches, networking opportunity and seminars on various aspects concerning entrepreneurship etc.

Many PSUs and large industries are participating in the trade fair to locate potential vendors following B2B, B2G and B2C meetings for the establishment, extension or expansion of the MSME sector.

The state government has been organising the trade fair since 2013 with an objective to bring the potential buyers and sellers to a single platform for mutually beneficial trade in service product and technology.

Mishra said this time there will be five hangers with capacity of 60 stalls each out of which four hangers will be dedicated for startup’s, food processing units, Mission Shakti, PSUs and the rest will be for general purpose.

During the fair five seminars on different topics are scheduled to be held at the venue.
