Bengaluru, Jun 17 (KNN) The Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) an autonomous society under the Ministry of Power has proposed for itself a corporate brand and an external communications strategy development plan.

In this context, the power body has invited bids from firms and agencies to provide services in branding and communication design related assignments.

In the first two months, the firm will be required to conduct research and analysis as well as brand audit.  Once the internal and external research work is complete, the firm should do a comparative analysis of competition and peers and evaluate existing brands and brand architecture.

In the third month, the firm needs to make the brand strategy, develop communication guidelines and present the brand brief to help create a brand definition document for internal brand managers.

Furthermore, during the next two years the firm should complete the design concept, brand expressions, managing brand assets, and managing communication duties.

Market and brand focused organisations are concerned with the expression and perception of the corporate brand. Corporate design management implements, develops, and maintains the corporate identity or brand. This type of brand management is strongly anchored in an organisation to control and influence corporate design activities.

The design programme plays the role of a quality programme within many fields of the organisation to achieve uniform internal branding. It is strongly linked to strategy, corporate culture, product development, marketing, organisational structure, and technological development.

Achieving a consistent corporate brand requires the involvement of designers and widespread design awareness among employees. A creative culture, knowledge sharing processes, determination, design leadership, and good work relations, support the work of corporate brand management.

The Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) was established by the Government of India in 1960, with headquarters in Bangalore. The Institute was re-organised into an autonomous society in 1978 under the aegis of the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
