Craft Competition at Dilli Haat

New Delhi, Dec 11 (KNN)  To encourage the arts and craftsmen in particular, the Office of the Development Commissioner of Handicrafts will hold competitions in kite making, mehandi decoration and paper craft.

The craft competitions will be held from December 11 to 15 during the Master Creation Programme that is currently being held at Dilli Haat from December-1 to 15 here.

Competitions are also being conducted in gift wrapping, matka painting, drawing, clay modelling, rangoli, kite making, bead work, mehandi decoration and paper craft. 

The Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) is attached to the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.  It works for the socio-economic upliftment of artisans and supplements the efforts of the state governments for promotion and development of handicrafts within the country and abroad.  (KNN/ES)
