Date for implementation of Track and Trace system for export of drug formulations extended to March 31, 2023: DGFT

New Delhi, April 11 (KNN) The Director-General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has extended the date for implementation of Track and Trace system for export of drug formulations to March 31, 2023.

The drug formulations are in reference with the Parent-Child relationship in packaging levels and its uploading on Central Portal.

The extension of date is applicable for both SSL and non SSI manufactured drugs.

It was in May 2018 that DGFT had implemented the track and trace system for export of Pharmaceuticals and drug consignments along with maintaining the Parent-Child relationship in the levels of packaging and their movement in supply chain.

The date has been extended many times previously and the last extension was 30th March, 2021.

As per government report India’s total drugs & pharmaceuticals export in FY21 was USD 24.44 billion and for the month of March 2021 it was USD 2.30 billion. (KNN Bureau)
