New Delhi, Mar 29 (KNN) The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has extended the deadline to install and operationalize Radiation Portal Monitors and Container Scanners up to June 30, 2019 at designated ports.

In a notification, the Commerce Ministry’s arm, DGFT said “The period for installation and operationalization of Radiation Portal Monitors and Container Scanner in the designated ports is extended up to 30.06.2019.

Such seaports which fail to meet the deadline will be derecognized for the purpose of import of un-shredded metallic scrap with effect from July 1, 2019, it added. (KNN/YV)
