Civil Aviation Infrastructure Upgraded At Leh Air Force Station

New Delhi, Jan 30 (KNN) An upgraded civil aviation infrastructure at Leh Air Force Station has been inaugurated by Kavinder Gupta, Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh, marking a key milestone in the region’s development.

The upgrades were completed in record time despite the challenges posed by high-altitude terrain and adverse weather conditions.

The enhanced facilities will enable smoother aircraft ground movement, quicker civil departures, and reduced turnaround times, thereby improving passenger convenience.

Improved air connectivity is expected to boost tourism in Leh, generate economic opportunities, and support local livelihoods.

Additionally, the upgraded infrastructure will ensure more reliable air services for residents and visitors while enhancing the region’s capacity to respond efficiently to Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations.

This development is seen as a significant step toward Ladakh’s long-term socio-economic growth.
