Telangana Welcomes Cutting-Edge Defence Plant by Jeh Aerospace

Telangana, Jan 24 (KNN) In a significant development, aerospace and defence manufacturing startup, Jeh Aerospace, inaugurated a state-of-the-art facility on Tuesday, graced by Industries and IT Minister, D. Sridhar Babu who commended the founders for their commitment to creating a cutting-edge facility tapping into India’s aerospace and defence manufacturing potential.

With a scalable space of up to 1.60 lakh sq.ft., the facility is equipped with contemporary digital and artificial intelligence (AI) technology, positions Jeh Aerospace to compete with established centres in the United States and Western Europe, according to a press release.

Minister Babu emphasised the government's support for disruptive technologies, particularly in information technology (IT) and critical defence elements, expressing confidence that the facility would significantly contribute to Telangana's economic growth and generate employment opportunities.

Jeh Aerospace, having recently secured USD 2.75 million in seed funding from global venture capital firm General Catalyst, along with support from aerospace industry veterans, aims to utilise the funds for infrastructure development, fostering growth, and building a world-class team.

Co-founders Vishal Sanghavi and Venkatesh Mudragalla declared the facility's opening as the commencement of a collective journey to redefine the landscape of aerospace manufacturing.

Industries and IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan highlighted Jeh Aerospace's focus on critical accessories and components, addressing pressing industry needs, solving challenges faced by larger players, and mitigating delivery delays that impact economies.

With its advanced technology and strategic vision, Jeh Aerospace is poised to make a significant impact on the aerospace and defence manufacturing sector, not only in Telangana but on a global scale.
