DGFT does away with submission of physical copies of RCMC by exporters from July 1

New Delhi, May 13 (KNN) The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has done away with submission of physical copies of Registration cum Membership Certificate (RCMC) from July 1, 2019 while filing application for incentives/ entitlements under Foreign Trade Policy (FTP).

In a Trade Notice, DGFT said, “In order to improve ease of doing business and reduce transaction cost it has been decided to discontinue the requirement of submission of physical copy of RCMC with effect from July 1, 2019.

The validity of RCMC will be checked directly from the DGFT’s data base which has the uploaded data of RCMCs from EPCs.

A copy of RCMC is a requirement for filing any application to DGFT offices for obtaining incentives/ entitlements under FTP, 2015-20.

So far, the applicants have been submitting the physical copy of the ECMC with the application.

The DGFT has requested all EPCs (Export Promotion Councils) to ensure that their latest data regarding RCMCs is uploaded in the DGFT server urgently and it has urged the exporters to ensure that their RCMCs are duly uploaded their EPCS in the DGFT server. (KNN Bureau)
