DGFT extends date for mandatory digital payments through e-MPS till June 1, 2018

New Delhi, May 21 (KNN) The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has extended the date for mandatory digital payments through e-MPS for exporters till June 1, 2018.

DGFT had launched e-MPS facility to make online payment for miscellaneous applications where payment is currently made through manual mode.

While DGFT RAs can access e-MPS through login idl password, exporters are required to have a DSC (lEC embedded) to make payment.

The digital payment was made mandatory later.

“It has been reported by RAs that there are users who do not possess DSC, but need to make payment. These users are not able to make digital payment, as they don't possess DSC,” DGFT said in a notification.

DGFT said the issue is being resolved by making changes in e-MPS to delink it from DSC for login purpose for the convenience of the exporters.

“In the meantime, the date for mandatory digital payment through e-MPS is extended to 01.06.2018,” said DGFT. (KNN Bureau)
