DGFT extends filing of Non-Preferential CoO through common platform to August 1

New Delhi, April 28 (KNN) The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has announced the extension of compulsory electronic filing of Non-Preferential Certificate of Origin (CoO) through the common digital platform to August 1, 2022.

This allows exporters and NP CoO issuing agencies to use the existing systems of processing non-preferential CoO applications in manual/paper mode for the next three months.

Option to use the online system would still be available for the exporters and NP CoO Issuing Agencies, said the notice issued on Wednesday.

DGFT has warned that strict penal actions as well de-listing will be considered against those issuing agencies who do not use the Online System for issue of non-preferential CoOs after August 1.

It has directed the authorised agencies to sensitize the exporting community and their constituents regarding the online system and its registration requirements well in time and has asked to report any issues relating to the IT system and its implementation. (KNN Bureau)
