“Fill in 3 mnts online. #Ease of Doing Business,” he added.
On Monday, the MSME Ministry had also posted the brief of the discussion on ‘Simplification and Universalization of MSME Registration through Udyog Aadhaar’.
It said, “With an objective to make the process of filing of Entrepreneurship Memorandum (EM) I & II simpler and to universalize registration, the Ministry of MSME has developed Udyog Aadhaar, a web portal for online filing of EM I&II.”
Prior to the launch of Udyog Aadhaar, the MSME registration process was earlier managed by the state’s District Industry Centres (DICs) and required manual filing of both EM I & II.
“The challenge ridden process deterred many entrepreneurs from obtaining registration and getting coverage under MSME Ministry’s schemes and benefits for the MSME sector,” Additional Secretary, MSME, S N Tripathi mentioned in the discussion paper.
The Udyog Aadhaar Form, based on the recommendations of the Kamath Committee on Financial Architecture of MSME sector, is expected to promote single window clearance by cutting down the lengthy registration process and promote ease of doing business, it said. (KNN Bureau)
