Don’t make same rules for small and big industries in labour policy: MSMEs

Raipur, June 17 (KNN) The much awaited labour reforms policy is yet to be released, ‎but the industry associations across the country are demanding for uniform rules for MSMEs with 10 or 10000 labourers.

Talking to KNN, the President of Urla Industries Association (UIA) Vinod Kumar Kejriwal said that MSMEs' position would be improved if Government implements the labour reforms soon. Government has to think to ease the labour policy.

The President further said same rule cannot bw applied on big and small enterprises and it would lead to outrage from the industries.

“MSMEs act as the training centres for the big industries," he added.

“The reforms are for the welfare of the workers and will help employers in compliance and procedural norms,” he said. 

“Labour reform is a very complex issue. The previous government had not initiated any reform in the labour laws, but this government has covered a long distance,” Labour Secretary Shankar Aggarwal said earlier addressing the media.

“Until or unless Government would not understand these things, it would be a  hurdle for the development of MSMEs,"  UIA President said. (KNN/ AR)
