ECL to set up Skill Training Centre, generate employment for youth

Godda, Dec 27(KNN) Skill Training Centre is being set up by Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) around Rajmahal Project area, a senior official said on Monday.

According to a media report quoting officials it is being set up on tuseday.

R. R. Mishra, chairman-cum-managing director, ECL, has said that skill development program will be launched by Rajmahal Project, in a view to provide employment to youth.

He also assured to increase the production of proposed coal, as in 2016-17 mining of 17 MT coal had been proposed. He said that in 2017-18 there would be 20 MT coal production.

The Hurasi project would begin in 2018, he said, adding production would also begin at Simlong and Chuparvita mines.

Producing coal was not the only objective but providing health, education and drinking water and other facilities to the people were the priority areas. (KNN/RAS)
