EDI offers SME Banking course for entrepreneurs

Ahmedabad, Apr 15 (KNN)  The Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) of India will start new courses for those who intend to build businesses in new and upcoming areas, a top EDI official said here.
 
Courses would be offered on Social Entrepreneurship and Business Entrepreneurship, SME Banking and Financial Services and Development Sector Management.
 
Speaking at the 14th Convocation Day ceremony yesterday, EDI Director, Dinesh Awasthi said that they would like to  reach out even more widely to those who build businesses in emerging areas.
 
The company will come up with more centres in countries like Senegal, Babon, Rwanda and Namibia.
 
Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) chairman RM Malla, who is also president of EDI, emphasised the growing significance of entrepreneurship and highlighted the achievements of EDI.

IDBI has given a loan of Rs 20 crore for setting up additional infrastructure at the campus. Malla has also promised a collateral free loan of up to Rs 1 crore to EDI graduates from IDBI for their business plans.  He assured them of more funds for EDI projects during the event. (KNN)
