EEPC launches e-catalogue for promoting engineering export under ‘Brand India’

New Delhi, Dec 30 (KNN) Eyeing at promoting exports along the lines of going digital, Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) e-catalogue was launched recently in the national capital.

Secretary, Department of Commerce, Rita Teaotia launched the EEPC India’s e-catalogue during an event in New Delhi.

The e-catalogue comes as a part of the digital drive under the aegis of EEPC India for promoting the country's engineering exports through the 'Brand India' initiative, a release from commerce and industry ministry informed.

The catalogue is to prove instrumental in helping Indian exports reach major export destinations through digital technologies, the release further added.

Interacting with media during the launch event, Teaotia said the e-catalogue can be a model for other export promotion councils for taking similar initiatives.

As of now, the launched initiative covers  four major sectors including medical devices, textile machinery and accessories, electrical machinery equipment and pumps and valves.

Teaotia further said that more products of this sort should be included in the catalogue.

The e-catalogue is compatible on all devices including laptops, tabs and mobile phones.

Potential buyers anywhere in the world, will be able to use features such as Advanced Search with City, End Use Sector, Certificates and Product Categories.

Also the catalogue provides an option to download profiles of individual companies. (With PIB Inputs) (KNN/DA)
