New Delhi, May 23 (KNN) After the massive campaigning by the parties followed by elections in 7 phases, the counting for the results has begun which clearly shows that BJP-led NDA has taken a lead over the Congress-led UPA.

As per the early trends from the 2019 Lok Sabha election results, the chances of Congress to come in lead is very grim.

The BJP is leading in all the seven seats in Delhi. AAP and Congress have not opened their accounts in the capital city, as per the early leading trends.

PM Narendra Modi is leading by over 20,000 votes from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. BJP president Amit Shah is leading by over 50,000 votes from Gujarat's Gandhinagar.

The BJP’s Giriraj is leading on the Begusarai Lok Sabha constituency by over 15,000 votes. Kanhaiya Kumar from the CPI is trailing.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad is leading over Congress's Shatrughan Sinha by 4,000 votes in Patna Sahib Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar.

Congress chairperson Sonia Gandhi is leading on the Raebareli Lok Sabha constituency, as per the early trends.

Of the 10 Lok Sabha seats, the BJP, which is the ruling party in Haryana is leading in nine seats.

The DMK and its allies are leading in over 10 Parliamentary constituencies in Tamil Nadu, according to trends available from the Election Commission.

In Karnataka, BJP+ is leading on 5 seats, Congress yet to open account in early trends.

As per current trends available for 511 constituencies, BJP is leading in 277 while INC is leading in 52.

Saffron party has taken leads in many key states including, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Karnatak, Delhi and Maharashtra.

Spread across seven phases, the election began on 11 April and end on 19 May. While the election for 22 states and Union Territories was held in single phase, states like Karnataka, Manipur, Rajasthan and Tripura voted in two phases. Assam and Chhattisgarh had three phases of elections, while Maharashtra, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand had voting in four phases.

Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal witnessed a seven-phase election. The troubled state of Jammu and Kashmir had a five-phase election, with Anantnag Lok Sabha constituency voted in three phases.
