Energy bureau to develop manual for SMEs

New Delhi, Jul 16 (KNN) The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) will be conducting energy audits and develop 'Best Operating Practices' for small and medium enterprises under its BEE-SME programme.

BEE now seeks organizations for empanelment to provide services like comprehensive energy audits, development of best operating practices etc in the BEE-SME program and the GEF-UNIDO-BEE project.

The sectors in which BEE has sought services are food, textiles, brass, forging, sea food, ceramics, dairy, hand tools and foundry across the SME clusters.

BEE is implementing the BEE’s SME Program to improve the energy performance in 25 selected SME clusters. The objective of the program is to accelerate the adoption of EE technologies and practices in the chosen SME clusters through knowledge sharing, capacity building and development of innovative financing mechanisms.
