IESA Annual Summit On India's Battery Manufacturing Ecosystem

Hyderabad, Jan 23 (KNN) The India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) inaugurated its third annual India Battery Manufacturing and Supply Chain Summit (IBMSCS) in Hyderabad today.

This two-day event aims to stimulate discussions on domestic battery manufacturing capabilities and foster the development of a comprehensive ecosystem for Indian giga factories.

The main objective of the summit is to articulate a comprehensive roadmap for the growth of the energy sector. This roadmap encompasses various aspects, including battery production and supply chain dynamics, technology advancements, policy frameworks, and sustainability practices.

These sustainability practices specifically involve initiatives like recycling and circular economy measures.

Detailed discussions will also focus on the manufacturing of lithium-ion anodes and how the production of lithium ferrophosphate (LFP) cathodes can contribute to making India self-reliant in the battery supply chain.

The summit is held under the India Battery Manufacturing and Supply Chain Council, an IESA initiative.

The key focus areas of the summit encompass raw materials and supply chain development, large-scale manufacturing, domestic technology development, research and development in battery technologies, policy recommendations, and skill development programs.

IESA is enthusiastic about creating a collaborative environment at IBMSCS 2024, bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise to drive the battery manufacturing and supply chain sector towards a sustainable and innovative future.
