EPFO directs employers to submit monthly electronic challan online

New Delhi, Nov 23 (KNN) In an effort to modernize their systems and help Provident Fund subscribers access their accounts on computers, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has given instructions to employers to submit their monthly electronic challan and returns online.
EPFO had introduced a new system to facilitate online submission of transfer claims by Members with an objective to make the transfer process transparent, efficient and comfortable for your employees.
The members could see all such claim requests with ease, verify/correct member details, approve and submit the requests online through a portal.
“Employers who have not uploaded their members’ details…are directed to comply immediately as it is mandatory to do upload their complete details while making monthly payments through ESR,” EPFO said in a notification.
Failure to comply with the directions will make the Establishments liable for prosecution under the EPF & MP Act, added the notification which has been issued by the Regional PF Commissioner of the Faridabad, EPFO.
The EPF members have been given a facility to submit the transfer claims through online mode to the EPFO offices through previous or present employer. (KNN/SD)
