ESIC insured person's wife died due to non-receipt of permission for Super Specialty Treatment: MIA

New Delhi, June 7 (KNN) Another unfortunate incident came concerning MSME labour and ESIC came into light reflecting the state how Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospital, Mohali is working.

ESIC hospital has been in news quite often and always gives the negative picture of the working environment of hospital their concerned authorities and management.

People are losing their lives due to the negligent act on part of the entire management handling the cases of insured workers who are entitled to get their treatment done from the hospital,Jasbir Singh, Chairman LLC, Mohali Industries Association (MIA) said.

One such case where the insured person's wife Tara Devi covered under ESIC died due to non receipt of permission for super specialty treatment from Regional Director ESIC, Chandigarh.

 The patient was very much eligible for super specialty treatment but due RED TAPISM in ESIC office Chandigarh permission was not granted by the ESIC during her hospitalization and the family lost their valuable member due to negligent act of Regional Director ESIC Chandigarh, informed Singh.

This 58 year old woman died in the hospital due to negligence of officials of ESIC (Employee State Insurance Corporation) as officials did not give permission to get cashless treatment for five days.

On behalf of the hospital, repeated e-mails were sent to the Regional Office Sector-19 Chandigarh of ESIC for the permissions. But the Regional Director of ESIC did not give permission for cashless treatment.

The insured person has made a complaint to register FIR against the Regional Director Sunil Taneja in police station Mohali.

MIA has already filed PIL in the Punjab and Haryana high court, which is now fixed for 11.7.2018 regarding poor facilities.
