EY India sets up free GST help desk for SMBs

New Delhi, July 11 (KNN) Aiming at assisting the Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs), traders and other stakeholders with different nuances of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), Ernst and Young (EY) India announced setting up of GST help desks.

These help desks will address the concerns and queries related to the new tax free of cost. The entrepreneurs can avail the services of the help desk by posting query on the EY India Tax Insight smartphone application, on its website DigiGST or on the organization’s twitter handle.

In a press interview during the launch event of the help desk, Rajiv Memani, EY India chairman said that the GST is the country’s most significant tax reform.

He further added that his organization is committed in extending support to the businesses and industry to smoothly transit to the new tax regime.

EY India GST help desk will be facilitated by its team comprising of more than 800 tax experts.

While the help desk will prove to be a helping hand for all the stakeholders, it is being projected that the small entrepreneurs will benefit the most as they will be able to realize the benefits of GST for their businsses in a comprehensive manner.

The Goods and Services tax was rolled out on July 1 marking it as the biggest reform in the country since independence. (KNN/ DA)
