New Delhi, Dec 31 (KNN)  The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has suggested to the Aam Admi Government a slew of initiatives that could empower the industrial economy of Delhi through the implementation of best practices adopted by some other states.

While congratulating the new Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for pursuing a people-centric development agenda, the chamber has offered its services to the government to shore up the administrative competencies of the state for enhancing the quality of public service delivery.

The focus of this initiative would be on improving services by setting measurable standards, building capacity to achieve the standards and setting up of grievance redress mechanism.

FICCI has suggested a package of measures to catalyse industrial investments in Delhi and help the state to maintain its industrial leadership position in the country.
It has expressed its desire to work closely with the Delhi government in modernizing the fruits and vegetable market infrastructure which would go a long way in combating food inflation.

FICCI has been playing the role of a ‘Skill Development Aggregator’ engaging major stakeholders like industry, academia, and the skill service providers into skill development activities, it said.  (KNN/ST)
