Fostering innovations & creativity in Indian industry through IP

New Delhi, Apr 25 (KNN)  To celebrate World Intellectual Property Day, FICCI in association with Department Intellectual Property Office (IPO) is organizing a conference on 'Fostering Innovations and Creativity in Indian Industry through Intellectual Property for Higher Growth Trajectory' here.
 
Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Amitabh Kant will inaugurate the conference tomorrow.
 
The aim of the conference is not only to celebrate the creativity and contribution of innovators across the country but also use it as a platform to discuss the opportunities and challenges pertaining to innovation in India. 
 
Leading industry captains and experts are slated to speak at the daylong conference including Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trademark, Government of India, Chaitanya Prasad and President FICCI, Sidharth Birla.
 
Sessions at the conference with cover topics such as - Innovators in India- on the road to Innovation Hub; Intellectual Property to boost Creativity and Economic Contribution in Indian Film industry; Commercialization of IP Assets; Countering Piracy and Counterfeiting to safeguard society and economy.
 
Awards will be distributed to debate competition winners from schools and colleges during the event.  (KNN/ES)
