FSSAI, NASVI to organize street food festival in Delhi from Dec 25-29

New Delhi, Dec 24 (KNN) National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI) and Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI) will jointly organize national street food festival in the national capital from December 25-29.

The 11th National Street Food Festival will be organised at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium here.

This food festival is set to attract thousands of foodies from across India in the next five days. It will have master street food vendors from different regions of India with their signature dishes.

In addition to this, the Festival will exhibit 4 divisions representing four provinces of India- North, South, East and West with street foods and delicacies arranged in consonance with its origins.

“Organizing street food festivals is a major component of NASVI led street food advocacy movement as it symbolizes the promotion of the street vendors in our society-gives them the visibility and the voice.” said Arbind Singh, National Coordinator of NASVI.

Ahead of the festival, NASVI and FSSAI are giving health and hygiene training to the vendors through a certified FOSTAC trainer.
