Gadkari to release report on trade ports on March 30th

New Delhi, Mar 19 (KNN) Union Minister of Road, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari will release a report "Bridging Infrastructural Deficits at Select Trade Ports in India" prepared by the Bureau of Research on Industry & Economic Fundamentals (BRIEF) on 30 March in Delhi.

The Director of BRIEF, Afaq Hussain told KNN that the report is an outcome of a study launched in April, 2015 aimed at facilitating India’s trade and improving its trading environment.

The study was supported by Foreign and Commonwealth Office, British High Commission, New Delhi.

He also said that the report is an outcome of a study launched in April, 2015 aimed at facilitating India’s trade and improving its trading environment.

The study was carried out by reviewing the current scenario at selected trade ports (Land and Sea) in the country through extensive field visits and detailed consultations with concerned stakeholders.

He said that the release of the report will be preceded by a panel discussion involving experts on the findings of the report adding that this will provide a platform to discuss the possible way forward for the development of trade ports in the country to enhance trade between India and its partners.
