GCM to hold webinar on E-Way bill for transporters - MSMEs

New Delhi, Mar 31 (KNN) With the government mandating E-Way bill for movement of goods from April 1 for inter-state movement and not later than June 1 for intra-state movement, GCM Worldwide, a business facilitation organization is to hold online webinar on the E-Way bill mechanism for different stakeholders including transporters and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The online program will be facilitated by Chartered Accountant and tax Expert Tarun Arora on April 5.

The E-Way bill system is introduced to bring uniformity across states for seamless inter-state movement of goods. Under GST, transporters should carry an e-Way Bill when moving goods from one place to another.

Since it is a new rule introduced under GST, it is necessary for all consignors/ consignees/ transporters to be aware of the required compliance, a release from GCM informed.

This webinar aims to explain the operational procedure on how to use web based e-Way Bill system. Also it explains the features and roles of the stake holders in using this system.

Stakeholders including registered taxpayers under GST and unregistered transporters may sign up for the online seminar. Also CEO, CFO, Finance Directors, Tax Directors, Analysts, Accountants, Investment Bankers, Corporate Bankers, Strategic Planners, Auditors, HR, Consultants, CA, CS, CWA may participate.

Content of the program includes Introduction of e-Way Bill, requirement norms, exemption clauses under the new system, technical requirements, physical check on e-Way bill, etc.
