Germany based Steinbeis & premier Indian institutes jointly organizing practice oriented "Innovation Management Training for SMBs"

Bangalore, July 19 (KNN) Giving Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) an opportunity to enhance their innovation management capacity, a 7 days training programme on “Managing Innovation in Small Businesses” is being organized between August 8-12 and September 26 -27, 2016 in Bangalore. IIM Calcutta, IIM Indore, ISB Mohali and IIT Delhi jointly with Germany based technology transfer agency Steinbeis and CEFE is organizing the programme.

The workshop aims to enhance the innovation management capacity of SMEs and is also designed to equip the participants with hands-on tools to start or manage product, process or business model innovation in their enterprises.

It includes exercise based sessions, practical case studies and an opportunity to work on individual innovation ideas/projects - supported by experts and facilitators from Germany and India.

The workshop is divided in three phases - 5-days of practical training conducted between August 8-12 in Bangalore followed by a 4 weeks implementation break and ending with a 2-day finishing school between September 26-27 during which the participants will get the chance to present their innovation projects and get further feedback.

Given that the SME sector assumes a pivotal role in driving economic development and creating employment, it is in the urge of the hour that the SME sector continues to innovate. The training course is a first-of-its-kind initiative with premier institutes joining hands to support the SME sector.

The training has been initiated within the framework of Indo German Bilateral Development Cooperation Programme “Innovation Promotion in MSMEs”, jointly implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the office of DC MSME, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME), Government of India.
