New Delhi, Nov 9 (KNN) The jewellery shops are glittering again this Dhanteras with the gold prices rebounding by Rs 120 to Rs 26,230 at the bullion market following increased buying activity from jewellers as well as retailers despite a firm trend overseas.

The rupee, which dropped by over 1 per cent to 66.50 (intra-day) against the dollar, making imports costlier, too supported the upside in gold prices.

Silver too recovered by Rs 110 to Rs 35,410 per kg on increased offtake by industrial units and coin makers.

Not only the yellow metal, but also the steel and brass shops witnessed huge footfalls all through the day. The shopkeepers are expecting more rush in the evening. (KNN Bureau)
