Google launches Startup School to help young entrepreneurs from tier 2 & 3 cities

New Delhi, July 6 (KNN) Google has launched a Startup School in India to help 10,000 startups in tier 2 and tier 3 cities understand the dynamics of entrepreneurship.

The startup school will deliver a nine-week long program virtually. The program will feature fireside chats between Google leaders and collaborators from across the startup ecosystem, spanning fintech, D2C, B2B and B2C e-commerce, language, social media and networking, job search, and many more.

The virtual program aims to provide opportunities for founders to gain orthogonal insights from discussions around what makes an effective founder and how to formalize hiring.

Over the span of nine weeks, the young entrepreneurs will study subjects like shaping an effective product strategy, deep dives on product user value, road mapping & PRD development, building apps for the next billion users in markets such as India, and driving user acquisition.

Gayatri Yadav, chief marketing officer, Sequoia India and one of the collaborators of the project, said, "The Startup School is an excellent initiative to connect with founders at a much larger scale."

"As more and more youngsters are starting to build their businesses, it’s important that the fundamentals of company-building are well thought out to help them build with a long-term plan in mind,”she added.

The program is aimed at early-stage founders with a minimum viable product. The course provides the flexibility of a virtual curriculum and allows attendees to pick and choose the modules they want to attend.  (KNN Bureau)
