Government claims ‘All is well’ in the country post GST implementation

New Delhi, July 3 (KNN) The Goods and Services Tax (GST) rolled out on July 1 marking the biggest tax reform in the country. Amidst reports of confusions over the GST and its compliance, the Government recently claimed that things are going smooth under the GST.

The Government said that there haven’t been any major issues post implementation of GST so far.

It further said that the businesses and traders in the country have started getting acclimatized to the One Nation One Tax policy. Dhabas, big Restaurants, Kirana shops as well as the big departmental stores are adapting the new tax system with enthusiasm.  It also informed that the Central and State Government officers are on their marks to provide the necessary information and assistance to the traders and industry.

The claims by the government are based on the early reports from the Revenue Department.

Also the government requested to help avoid the situation of panic in the country in relation to the GST. The Revenue secretary Hasmukh Adhia appealed not to circulate unverified messages regarding GST over WhatsApp and other Social Media websites. (KNN/ DA)
