New Delhi, July 11 (KNN) Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal said that the government wants to develop a cluster to boost cardamom industry in Idukki in Kerala as Idukki is a leading producer of cardamom.

He told the Lok Sabha, "We will certainly like to develop a cluster in Idukki," during the Question Hour.

He was responding to a supplementary question related to cardamom industry in Idukki.  Also he said that there is no proposal to set up a branch of Spices Board at Paramkudi in Tamil Nadu.
