Govt committed to maintain level-playing field in e-commerce: Som Parkash
New Delhi, Oct 31 (KNN) Minister of State for Commerce Som Parkash has said the government will not spare any efforts in maintaining a level-playing field in e-commerce and stressed that violation of government policy "will not be tolerated anymore.
He said this at the launch event of a logo of the upcoming e-commerce portal 'BharatEMarket' of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT).
Quoting the minister, the traders' body said, ''he assured that government will not spare any efforts in maintaining an even level playing field in e-commerce business and he stressed that violation of Government policy will not be tolerated anymore and the government is committed to provide equal opportunities for all to make optimum use of e-commerce ecosystem in larger interest of the Country and its people.''
He also lauded CAIT for carrying various steps from time to time in adoption & access of digital payments and digital commerce among traders of the country.
According to CAIT, "BharatEMarket" will be launched in December with an objective of clubbing physical trade with the growing e-commerce market of India.
''No goods of Chinese origin will be sold on Bharatemarket,'' CAIT said.
