Govt is aware about the issues of Indian PVC and Caustic Soda industries: Ahir

New Delhi, Dec 22 (KNN) Government is aware about the issues of the Indian PVC and Caustic Soda industries regarding duty rationalization and single window clearances, said Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Hansraj Gangaram Ahir.
said that the Government is taking several steps to promote ‘Make in India’ in various sectors. The Minister said that India imports a large amount of plastics and petrochemicals which have security as well as other implications.
He said the Government wants to usher in self-dependency in the sector and for this end, it has taken policy initiatives.
The Minister said this while releasing document on enhancing competitiveness of Indian PVC and Caustic Soda Industries.
The document prepared by Industry body FICCI aims to bring out the challenges and issues of this sector and suggests the way forward. (KNN Bureau)
