Govt re-establishes KVIC, appoints new members

New Delhi, Oct 28 (KNN) With the view to promote khadi in India, the Ministry of MSME has re-established the Khadi and Village Industries Commission and appointed new members for KVIC with Vinai Kumar Saxena as its chairman.
 
“In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (3) of section 25 and of section 4 of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission Act, 1956 (61 of 1956), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), read with rules 3 and 4 of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby re-establishes the Khadi and Village Industries Commission and appoints the following persons as members of such Commission,” MSME Ministry said in a notification.
 
Every member of the Commission (other than ex-officio members) will be holding the office for a period of three years.
 
The member for each zone has been appointed along with the Non-official Expert Members and Ex-Officio Members. (KNN Bureau)
