Gram Seva Sangh to hold protest in B'luru against political parties for neglecting handmade sector

New Delhi, May 5 (KNN) In continuation of earlier struggle demanding zero GST on all handmade products, Gram Seva Sangh is organizing a protest in Bengaluru against political parties for neglecting handmade sector.

Though the sangh has organized wide-ranging Satyagraha across large parts of Karnataka comprising peaceful protests, padayatras as well as a hunger strike, demanding zero-GST for handmade products, this event is planned as first in a series intended to enforce responsibility and sincerity on people’s representatives in fulfilling their promises, the sangh said.

The event is being organized to protest the apathy of all political parties towards non-fulfillment of promises made by the GST Council in response to widespread Tax Denial Satyagraha undertaken by Sangh over the last 8 months on behalf of handmaking sections of India.

Failed to provide immediate relief to the handmaking poor of the country which are in distress from long time due to collapse of the market, the Sangh said it has resolved to demand that all political parties deliver on their promises; and wake up to their responsibilities towards the common man.

Eminent artists, writers and activists like Doreswamy, M S Sathyu, Prasanna, Nagathihalli Chandrashekar, Mudnakudu Chinaswamy, Chandra Jain, Nalini Shekar as well as enlightened consumers are joining the protest.(KNN/YV)
