Greater Noida to get it’s first C&D waste plant in 1.5 years; debris to be processed into tiles

Noida, Feb 25 (KNN) Within a span of one-and-a-half years, Greater Noida is expected to get its first construction and demolition (C&D) waste plant wherein the debris will be processed to make tiles, which will be used in construction work.

It will be built at a cost of Rs 11 crore in Ecotech III.

As per official reports, debris from 35 locations have been collected and transported to the site and it weighs over 2,000 tonnes.

Narendra Bhushan, CEO, GNIDA said, “C&D waste is coming out in large quantities in the rapidly developing Greater Noida and for this, it’s necessary to build a C&D waste plant. With the construction of this plant, the debris will be processed entirely and help in making Greater Noida cleaner.”

For lifting construction debris in Greater Noida, a helpline number 9315906083 has also been issued.

Rise Eleven, a private firm handles this number and they are building the plant on a public-private partnership mode.

Issues of dumping of debris in the city can also be reported on this number.  (KNN Bureau)
