GST return filling due date for April extended till May 24

New Delhi, May 17 (KNN) The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has extended the last date of filing FORM GSTR-3B for the month of April till May 24, 2022.

The notification came in on Tuesday after the GST Portal was down due to technical issues.

The indirect tax administrator has also extended the due date of payment of tax for the month of April under Quarterly Return Filing and Monthly Payment of Taxes (QRMP) scheme in FORM GST PMT-06 till May 27, 2022.

CBIC introduced QRMP scheme under Goods and Services Tax (GST) to help small taxpayers whose turnover is less than Rs 5 crore.

The QRMP scheme allows the taxpayers to file GSTR-3B on a quarterly basis and pay tax every month.  (KNN Bureau)
