Guidelines for Sewage Treatment Plant, Waste Management & Rainwater Harvesting System in hotels

New Delhi, Dec 29 (KNN) The Ministry of Tourism has issued the guidelines to the starred hotels, guest houses and Apartment hotels with respect to the Sewage Treatment plant, Waste Management system and Rainwater Harvesting system.

In an official statement, the ministry said that the star category hotels, Sewage Treatment plant, Waste Management system and Rainwater Harvesting system are mandatory.

However, Sewage Treatment plant is not mandatory condition for Hotels which have obtained completion certificate for construction before 1st April, 2012.

Waste Management system is mandatory for Heritage Hotels and Guest Houses, the release said.

Waste Management system, Water Harvesting and Disposal/Recycling as per Pollution Control Board norms are mandatory for the Apartment hotels, release said. (KNN Bureau)
