Surat, Jan 7 (KNN) Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel has approved Rs 30 crore to Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation under Solid Waste Management Project to generate electricity through solid waste disposal.

In another development, which is likely to bring business opportunities for the micro, small and medium enterprises in the state, Chief Minister Anandiben Patel recently held a detailed discussion with Xiao Ming Zhen, Vice MD of China Development Bank on the proposed USD 1-bn China Industrial Park near Sanand.

In the meeting extensive discussion and consultation was done on the establishment of the park.

“With persistent efforts made by Gujarat government and China Development Bank the project work will commence soon,” according to an official statement.

State government has taken proactive measure and set up a high power committee under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary of industries for the project. China Development Bank has taken proactive steps to lay the foundation ceremony of the project in next two to three months, the statement said.

Last year, during Vibrant Gujarat – 2015, Gujarat government had signed an MOU with China for establishment of Industrial Park worth USD 1 Billion. (KNN Bureau)
