Guj CM calls for people to people connect at a forum in Beijing

Beijing, May 15 (KNN) Highlighting the recent policies announced by the Gujarat Government to promote investment in the MSME sector, Gujarat chief minister Anandiben Patel, who is currently in China as a part of PM Narendra Modi’s delegation, called for people to people connect in improving trade and cultural relations.
 
She said this while addressing at the Forum of States and Provincial Leaders in Beijing today.
 
The central theme of the forum focused on ‘Role of States and Provinces in fostering Closer Developmental Partnership between India and China’.
 
She focused on Gujarat’s achievements and the immense opportunities that it can offer for investors and also mentioned that “Guangdong is known as the manufacturing hub in the world.
 
“Gujarat, my province too, is regarded as the manufacturing hub in India. With five percent of India’s population, Gujarat contributes 17 percent of Indian manufacturing,” the Gujarat CM said.
 
She further highlighted the upcoming projects including the dholera Special Invetsment Region along the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor, the GIFT city, India’s first IFSC, the ambitious Kalpasar project and others.
 
In her address, Patel also recalled the ancient ties that bring China and India together.
 
Welcoming Chinese investors to invest in Gujarat, Patel said, “Gujarat has a tradition of welcoming others and making them feel at home. We believe in positive outlook, cooperation and mutual benefit. These are the features that we offer to you, my friends, as our countries, our provinces, our cities and our people move closer on this historic occasion”.
 
She highlighted the recent policies announced by the GoG to promote investment in industrial parks, textiles and electronics as well as Medium and Small Enterprises (MSMEs). (KNN Bureau)
