Gujarat attracts highest private investment commitment

“The total outstanding investments attracted by the state of Gujarat were worth over Rs 14 lakh crore, out of which the foreign and domestic private sources accounted for over Rs 10 lakh crore thereby registering a share of about 73 per cent,” said ASSOCHAM.
In other states, Odisha has drawn private investment commitments worth over Rs eight lakh crore while Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra both attracted private investments worth over Rs seven lakh crore each. Karnataka has seen private investment worth over Rs six lakh crore.
Jharkhand, Haryana and Chhattisgarh are other top states where private sector accounts for a share of about 70 per cent and above in total investments the state has drawn.
On the other hand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Assam account for a share of less than even one per cent in the total private investment commitments. (KNN)
