HAL aims to speed up indigenisation from 50 to 65%

Coimbatore, June 4 (KNN) The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has said an aim to increase its indigenisation from 50 per cent to 65 per cent, said C.B. Ananthakrishnan, Director – Finance and CFO, HAL during an event in Coimbatore on Friday. 

He was speaking at the GMCV 2030 organised by INTEC, Texas Ventures, and Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA).

HAL has identified 30 items by CODISSIA Innovation and Atal Incubation Centre to up their indigenisation rate, said Ananthakrishnan.

He also said that outgo for sourcing from Tamil Nadu is all set to increase every year on a substantial basis. 

HAL chief urged MSMEs to take advantage of the opportunities emerging in the defence sector with the growing focus on indigenisation.
