Handloom Expo 'Nesavu 2022' underway in Chennai from April 2-12

Chennai, April 5 (KNN) Central Cottage Industries Emporium, Chennai  (CCIC) is hosting “NESAVU 2022” an Handloom Expo in the city till 12th April to promote Indian handloom products and the spirit of craftsmanship.

The event featuring products handcrafted by weavers and master weavers was inaugurated by Darshana Vikram Jardosh, Minister of State for Textiles.  

As in charge of sponsoring the event, Shantmanu, Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), said the exhibition that had saris, shawls, fabrics, apparels, home linen and furnishing was conducted to promote the works of weavers and textile artists.

He said they were adopting holistic approach so that handlooms, handicrafts and fashion institutions work together to help artisans get their due.

This exhibition is being held at CCIC’s showroom at Temple Tower, 672, Annasalai, Nandanam, Chennai, from 10:30 am to 8:00pm.

Exclusive handwoven sarees, shawls, fabrics, apparels, accessories, furnishing, home linen from different parts of the country, with assurance of authenticity and quality are under showcase at the expo. (KNN Bureau)
