Handloom Handicraft Expo in Nagpur receiving good response

Nagpur, Feb 19 (KNN) Products are on display by master craftsmen from all across India displaying products through 80 stalls from different states of India.

“Handloom Handicraft Exhibition” cum sale is underway at Bishop Cotton High School Play Ground, beside Old VCA Ground, Civil Lines, Nagpur from 11 am to 9 pm. 

The exhibition is from February 18 to 20. On the first day, the exhibition received an overwhelming response. 

The participants are directly selling their products at the lowest cost directly to the customers and the customers can get authentic and exclusive products and promote these artisans coming from all over the country.

The products on display will be a large variety of exclusive and attractive silk and cotton sarees, dress materials, suits, stoles, dupattas, kurtas and Kurtis along with fashion jewellery and artefacts for home decor are sure to entice one and all to get hold of an item of their choice. 

The specialities include a host of varieties like Bhagalpuri Tassar, Kosa and Khadi silk from Bihar, Lucknow Chiken, Jamdari and Banaras silk from Uttar Pradesh and many more products. 

There is Chanderi and Maheshwari silk from Madhya Pradesh, Patola, Bandhini and Kutch embroidary from Gujarat, while Rajasthan showcases Bandhei, block print and Sanganeri print, Karnataka has Bangalore silk and printed crepe. 

The State of Jammu and kashmir has brought embriodered and Tabi silk. Kamjvaram and Coimbatore cotton comes from Tamilnadu. 

Whereas the Eastern State of West Bengal offers Balucheri, Kantha, Tangail and Jamdani and more. Thus the exhibition is all about the use of traditional handloom skills to create contemporary lifestyle products all under one roof. (KNN Bureau)
