Harsimarat Kaur Badal for more units to produce nutritious, affordable food

New Delhi, Jul 4 (KNN)  Minister of Food Processing Industries, Harsimarat Kaur Badal has asked bread manufacturers to set up more units for production of nutritious and easily affordable processed food all over the country.

Badal met a delegation of the All India Bread Manufacturers Association (AIBMA) here yesterday to discuss issues pertaining to the bakery sector.

“The AIBMA delegation discussed their problems relating to getting approvals from FSSAI, representation of bakery industry in Sectoral Council, giving the benefits of grants available to units established under SEZ and to the units set up under Mega Food Park Scheme,” as per official data.

The Minister assured them of her support in resolving their problems, while advising them to set up more units which can provide affordable processed food for all.  (KNN/ES)
