Haryana MSMEs hail govt's move to set up 10 clusters but asks to cut cost of lands

Manesar/ Chandigarh, Feb 20 (KNN) Industries in Haryana hailed the move of Haryana Government to set up 10 clusters in the state.

General Secretary of Manesar Industrial Welfare Association (MIWA) Manmohan Gaind welcomed the move and said it would  give huge benefits to the MSMEs.

While addressing Regional Conclave of Northern Region in Chandigarh, the State Chief Minister said that Special focus is being laid on the traditional clusters, rural functional clusters and thrust or focus clusters.

MIWA General Secretary also said that the Government has to bring down the land cost which currently is immence high.

He suggested that Government should involve the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model on the land issue and MSMEs don’t invest in fix assets.

The state chief minister said that Central government has accorded approval for setting up of six clusters and in principal approval has been granted for four clusters of MSMEs.

He said there are a total of 92,525 MSMEs in the state and out of these 2,835 such units have been set up during last 15 months tenure of present state government.

These have catalysed an investment of Rs 2,297 crore and provided employment to 50,730 youth in the State. (KNN Bureau)
