Hyderabad, Dec 6 (KNN)  The Hitachi Group (Japan), a subsidiary of Hitachi Solution America, which provides Global Development Industry Solutions and services based on Microsoft Dynamics AX and CRM to America, Britain, Canada has opened a Global Development Centre here.

The new centre was inaugurated by President of Hitachi Solutions Musakazu Kujji yesterday.

The centre set up in the IT district of GachiBowli will primarily cater to the US and European markets.

Speaking on the occasion, Kujji said that the Hyderabad and Chennai development centres together have 300 seats.   While they presently employ 200, the number could grow to 500 by 2015.

With this move, the Hitachi group, undeterred by the ongoing disputes between China-Japan is clearly seeking countries like India to expand and sustain growth.

Affirming this, chief executive officer of Hitachi Solutions India Limited, Ananth Subramanian, said that the company had started an initiative in India to address the need for sustainability of their business.

Called the Microsoft Academic Alliance, the programme involves 6-7 months of in-campus training to 50-100 final year students of computer science discipline, and then a three-month training through internships in Hitachi’s India offices.

At present, Hitachi Solutions represents 20-25 per cent of the USD 19-billion IT business of Hitachi Group. (KNN)
