New Delhi, Feb 21 (KNN)  Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation is planning to improve infrastructure in Rai industrial area in Sonepat by providing for roads, water supply, sewerage and drainage.

Located 35 kms from Delhi on NH-1, Rai industrial estate is spread across 545 acres, excluding the area earmarked for Food Park and Technology Park.

To develop infrastructure in the estate, HSIIDC has called for bids from agencies with previous experience in execution of similar work.

HSIIDC is the nodal agency for development of Industrial Infrastructure in the State of Haryana.  After acquisition of land through the Department of Industries, Government of Haryana, the Corporation prepares a detailed plan for its development and thereafter executes various development works such as construction of roads, provision of water supply, sewage, drainage and electrical infrastructure.

This is followed by provision of secondary level of facilities such as the STP/ CETP, development of plantation/ green belts, commercial and institutional sites, common parking facilities, etc.

In this process, the Corporation has developed Industrial Model Townships, Industrial Estates and Industrial Clusters (Theme Parks) at strategic locations and framed its own internal set of guidelines for their governance. These internal guidelines are referred to as the Estate Management Procedures (EMP).  (KNN/ES)
